Sunday Session with Peta Trahar
We are privileged to announce Sunday Conversations with two doyennes of Australian gardening at Collectors' this year. These two extraordinary gardeners have single handedly designed and built inspiring plant-based gardens in NSW. Conversations will be held undercover in the marquee beside the race track.
Both talks are free on Sunday 8th April only.
The first Sunday Conversation is at 11am with Peta Trahar, founder of Collectors Plant Fair 13 years ago and creator of her garden at Woodgreen, Bilpin. Anyone who has seen her daily Facebook posts Town and Country Gardens will have noticed her obsession for plants, plant people and her sweet rescued greyhound William. She has a wonderful style and plenty of fabulous stories and tips to share.
Peta Trahar was raised in Tasmania, lived in Mosman in Sydney and now calls Woodgreen Angus Stud, at Bilpin, home. The 2 acre garden within a larger property was established in the 1960’s by Justice Philip Woodward. Peta and Peter Trahar bought Woodgreen in 1986. Since then the garden intensively planted. It’s beautiful in all seasons and is open by appointment.
